We have found the ultimate challenge, after 40 years of marriage we have decided to tackle the Peking to Paris in a 1936 Rolls Royce Phantom III, specially prepared (with the help of friends) We will have to contend with mud, wading across rivers, potholes large enough to swallow VW's and maybe an occasional sandstorm..
We have 293 days left to prepare. "Flora" was supposed to be ready by now!! The engine is still at the machine shop. Next week the chassis will go to the body shop to be reunited with the Hooper body which looks resplendent in yellow and black, her new colours for the rally. We are now targeting to be ready for trial runs by March 2010. The car has to be shipped by July. Treacy or I will keep you posted as to our progress.....
